SHARING HOPE IN CRISIS SEMINAR
The one-day Sharing Hope in Crisis Seminar (SHIC) prepares you to provide effective spiritual care for people experiencing tragedy. Learn how to appropriately provide emotional and spiritual care. Learn practical skills to share God’s love and comfort with people in crisis. Find out more about the Rapid Response Team ministry and opportunities to serve as a volunteer chaplain.

CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) classes are often held following the Sharing Hope in Crisis (SHIC) seminar in the same location. Each RRT Chaplain is required to take the SHIC and two of the CISM coursesfrom the list provided following. They also are stated in the Chaplain Application Packet.

This four-day conference offers a choice of several training tracks that will appeal to attendees with different levels of experience. This event will help you prepare for a crisis in your church, community, or family, while you explore opportunities for national deployments in the aftermath of major disasters. The conference also enables you to complete certified International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) courses.

INTERNATIONAL CRISIS RESPONSE TRAINING
At the invitation of churches and ministry organizations, the Rapid Response Team provides grief and crisis training to local pastors and Christian leaders after international disasters.
RRT has carried out such training in places such as Australia (wildfires); Italy, Haiti, and Japan (earthquakes); Kenya (civil unrest); and Brazil (floods). International Rapid Response Teams have been established in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
